Working with Children
Working with neuro-diverse students and gifted and talented students has taught me how critical it is for them to be understood and have learning environments that foster their potential and growth.
These children experience the world through a very different lens to their peers of the same age. They feel things deeper, longer, stronger, which can make managing their emotions especially in stressful situations extremely difficult.
Children in this category share over-excitabilities and emotional intensities that can place them in direct conflict with the powers that be on a daily basis.
Teaching them self awareness and self-understanding and subsequent strategies to manage these intensities is vital to assist them to reach their full potential.
